There's been such an overwhelming response that we've had to move to a bigger venue. Those of you who joined us for Meet, Plan, Go! in October 2011 will recognize the spot. Recessions Lounge is close to both the Red and Orange/Blue lines on the Metro, and has plenty of street parking (as well as a cheap garage across the street). Happy hour food & drink specials are available, and there's lots of space for us to spread out.

Come join us for the first DC Travel Tweetup of 2012! If you're a travel writer, blogger, photog, or just have an interest in travel, we'd love to meet you! This casual monthly event brings together travel junkies of all stripes, to drink a little, nosh a little, and tell lots of travel stories.

We get together somewhere in the DC area roughly once a month, although sometimes we pull together an impromptu gathering if one of our travel brethren is visiting from out of town. If you have ideas for a venue that would like to host us, or a travel-related field trip that might be fun for a small group, do let us know!

But the event has been ongoing for years because of the enthusiasm of the DC travel community. And this month, we'll be extra-celebratory as our gathering is the night before Matt's birthday!
